Engagement portraits are really important for a few reasons. First, this is a wonderful opportunity to have professional portraits taken of just the two of you and one of the few, if not only times, you will have them taken outside of your wedding day. As life moves forward you may start adding family members or as life becomes busy, you may neglect updating the portraits of just the two of you. 

Second, this is a great opportunity for you (as the couple) and I (as the photographer) to build rapport towards the wedding day. It gives us the opportunity to see how each works! I personally use this session to feel out your relationship personality (romantic, playful, serious, etc.) so I can capture you both in your natural state. It also prepares me for the big day as well so we can create beautiful wedding images that speak to you.

Third and most important, this session is a excellent way for us to tell the story of you as a couple! We have different locations options that we can go to for the sessions or possibly go to a location of your choice.

I encourage all my potential wedding couples to make sure they do an engagement session with their photographer and I personally give it as an complimentary booking bonus to all my couples.
